At the end of last year, Duro Dakovic
Strojna obrada contracted a job and put it self a challenge in the production of large complex power
transmissions. The contract includes the construction of three 12-tons
gearboxes for bridge cranes in nuclear power plants. The first two gearboxes
have been completed, the third is in the assembly phase.
The gearboxes are designed to work in
difficult conditions. Due to the specific conditions of exploitation (nuclear
power plant) in the process of manufacturing and assembly, special attention is
paid to material certificates, welding certificates, AKZ procedures, marking
and traceability of each element and finished goods and the quality of parts.
The load capacity of the first two
gearboxes is 160 tons each, while the third gearbox has a load capacity of 400
tons. The gearboxes have 7 gears and a planetary gearbox and a manual drive
system for emergency interventions.
All gears in gearboxes are cemented in
a protective atmosphere, hardened and ground.
They are equipped with a forced
lubrication system with two main pumps and a hand pump.
For easier control and monitoring, the
gearboxes have oil pressure sensors, a speed sensor, an electronic speed
limiter and an encoder.
After the production and installation
of the first two reducers, testing was performed according to strict customer
criteria and protocols for the nuclear industry, and in terms of noise,
vibration and temperature, it met all the required requirements.
Duro
Dakovic Strojna obrada has proven that after many years of experience
with professional and competent engineers can realize such demanding projects.
